Colorado State Flower: Rocky Mountain Columbine
The white and lavender Columbine was adopted as Colorado's state flower on April 4, 1899.

Colorado State Flag
The Colorado State Flag was designed by Andrew Carlisle Carson. It was adopted by the Colorado General Assembly on June 5, 1911. The flag specifications seemed clear enough when adopted but modifications to the legislation were required in 1929 and again in 1964.

Colorado State Bird: Lark Bunting
The Lark Bunting was adopted as Colorado's state bird on April 29, 1931.

The first General Assembly of the State of Colorado approved the adoption of the state seal on March 15, 1877.

Colorado State Fish: Greenback Cutthroat Trout
Approved in 1994, the greenback cutthroat trout is the official state fish of Colorado.

Colorado State Quarter
Released on June 14, 2006, the Colorado quarter depicts a sweeping view of the state's rugged Rocky Mountains with evergreen trees and a banner carrying the inscription "Colorful Colorado." The coin also bears the inscriptions "Colorado" and "1876."
