Connecticut State Flower: Mountain Laurel
The Mountain Laurel was designated as the Connecticut State Flower by the General Assembly in 1907.

Connecticut State Flag
Governor O. Vincent Coffin introduced the first proposal for the adoption of a State Flag on May 29, 1895. In 1897 the General Assembly provided an official description of the flag.

Connecticut State Seal
The General Assembly adopted Connecticut's original State Seal in 1818. In 1931, the General Assembly required that all representations of the state seal conform to the description in Chapter 54 of the Public Acts of that year.
