Massachusetts State Flower: Mayflower
The General Court of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts adopted the mayflower as the state flower on May 1, 1918.

Massachusetts State Flag
Massachusetts adopted the state flag on March 6, 1915. It is very similar to the flag that flies over the Commonwealth today. On June 2, 1971 the state approved the current flag design.

The Massachusetts Legislature adopted the black-capped chickadee as the official state bird on March 21, 1941.
