Utah State Bird: California Gull
Utah Legislature and Governor J braken Lee approved the California Gull as the official state bird on February 14, 1955.

Utah State Seal
The 1847 provisional state of Deseret, which was to become Utah, adopted the beehive as its official emblem, and the symbol carried through as Utah became a part of the Union. It was adopted as the state Seal in 1896.

Approved in 1997, the Bonneville Cutthroat Trout is the state fish of Utah.

Utah State Quarter
Released on November 5, 2007, the Utah quarter features two locomotives moving toward the golden spike that joined the Central Pacific and Union Pacific railroads, linking East to West and transforming both the Utah Territory and the Nation with the inscription "Crossroads of the West." The coin also bears the inscriptions "Utah" and "1896."
